A devastating blow against piracy: a website that had more than 70,000 movies and series was eliminated
In January 2024, anti-piracy authorities dismantled uhuseries.com, a prominent “Piracy-as-a-Service” (PaaS) platform. Operating since 2019, uhuseries.com not only hosted over 70,000 movies and series but also enabled users to create their own pirate websites with minimal effort. The site was interconnected with multiple domains, including aplayer.xyz, nunghub.com, and Iamtheme.com, the latter providing templates and guidance for aspiring pirate site operators. This crackdown targeted both the primary platform and its associated networks, aiming to disrupt the infrastructure supporting widespread digital piracy.
