ACE adds first Pakistani member in global anti-piracy push
The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), a global coalition of over 50 major media companies established in 2017, has added Pakistan’s MHL as its first Pakistani member . MHL, which operates the Begin OTT platform, supplies licensed Western entertainment and sports content to Pakistani audiences. ACE’s chair Charles Rivkin emphasized that digital piracy is a global threat and lauded MHL’s inclusion as evidence of ACE’s strengthened commitment to safeguarding content worldwide . MHL’s chair Raihan Merchant noted the membership aligns with the company’s dedication to protecting the creative ecosystem, ensuring creators receive recognition and revenue . MHL becomes ACE’s 57th member, extending the coalition’s reach into South Asia and reinforcing collaborative enforcement efforts including criminal referrals, civil litigation, and cease-and-desist actions .
