ACE shuts down Gamovideo
The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) has successfully shut down the video hosting site Gamovideo. Gamovideo allowed users to upload, store, and share illegal content, primarily serving pirate streaming websites. The platform incentivized unauthorized distribution by paying uploaders based on downloads and views. Operating with 125 back-end subdomains, it attracted over 3 million monthly users worldwide in 2024. Following an investigation, ACE approached the Barcelona-based operator, leading to the service’s shutdown and the transfer of domains to ACE. All Gamovideo domains now redirect to ACE’s Watch Legally site.
