Billboard magazine faced backlash after including a clip from Kanye West’s 2016 “Famous” music video—which features a nude wax figure of Taylor Swift—in a montage celebrating her as the second greatest pop star of the 21st century. Fans condemned the inclusion as “nasty” and “disrespectful,” leading to the hashtag #BillboardIsOverParty trending on social media. In response, Billboard removed the clip, re-uploaded the video without it, and issued an apology to Swift and their audience for the “error.”
