Disney and Sony's industry group backs new US bill to urge Google and Cloudflare to block access to copyright-infringing sites
Democratic Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren has introduced the Foreign Digital Anti-Piracy Act (FADPA), a bill that would allow copyright holders to request blocking orders against pirate sites operating outside the U.S. The bill is expected to ease the problems of ‘censorship’ and ‘accountability’ that have been issues with existing blocking laws.
