DPIIT conducts over 1,300 programs to foster deeper understanding of Intellectual Property Rights
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has implemented numerous measures to enhance awareness of intellectual property rights (IPR) and combat fraudulent activities involving the misuse of IP for personal or financial gain. Since 2017, the Cell for IPR Promotion & Management under DPIIT has conducted over 1,300 programs, including awareness sessions, workshops, and training, targeting sectors such as academia, law enforcement agencies, and industry organizations. These initiatives aim to foster a deeper understanding of IPR and address issues like counterfeiting and piracy on both offline and online platforms.
