Ethical hackers claims illegal online casinos shut down in Germany
Ethical hacker Lilith Wittmann has reported that Malta-based software firm The Mill Adventure has ceased providing its platform to several unauthorized online casino operators in Germany, resulting in over a dozen illegal casinos going offline. Wittmann highlighted security vulnerabilities in The Mill Adventure’s software that facilitated access for these unregulated platforms, some of which were not approved by Germany’s gambling regulator, the GGL. She advocates targeting software providers as a more effective enforcement strategy than traditional IP blocking. In response, The Mill Adventure stated that it solely provides software and holds no control over how third-party operators utilize its services, placing responsibility on the operators themselves.
