Greek Police Receive Int’l Award for Fight Against Online Piracy
Officers Bantzis Georgios and Delimaris Konstantinos of the Patras Security Directorate of the Greek Police have been honored with an international award from the Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA) for their outstanding efforts in combating online piracy. These officers led a specialized team targeting organized subscription piracy groups across Greece, successfully dismantling multiple criminal organizations. Their work has not only advanced enforcement and legal proceedings in piracy cases but also heightened public awareness of the benefits of police interventions. Their success has led other units within the Hellenic Police to seek guidance from the Patras team for similar investigations.
