The inquiry was initiated after Brimson shared a screenshot on his Instagram account showcasing a significant win on the Melbourne Cup, along with other bets that appeared to involve NRL games. Brimson clarified that the bets were placed using his mother’s betting account, emphasizing that he did not personally engage in any gambling activities related to rugby league. The NRL’s integrity unit found no evidence of misconduct, concluding that Brimson did not breach any gambling provisions of the NRL Code of Conduct.
