IFA7 themes its 2025 UAE World Championship to sport integrity agenda
The International Football Association 7 (IFA7), founded in 2015 by Daniel Balcorta, has partnered with the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) as its official integrity partner. This collaboration, formalized in Dubai, includes IFA7 becoming a SIGA member in the new year and adopting SIGA’s Universal Standards on Good Governance in Sport, certified through the SIRVS independent rating system.
As part of the partnership, SIGA will enhance its SIGA Champions ambassador program, participating in the IFA7 Legends Cup from February 6-9, 2025, in the UAE. The tournament will feature football legends, possibly including teams like FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, to promote values like fair play, respect, and teamwork.
Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, SIGA Global CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing its importance for raising awareness about sports integrity alongside IFA7 and football legends. IFA7 President Daniel Balcorta highlighted the significance of hosting the IFA7 World Championship 2025 in the UAE, combining the event with the LEGENDS World Championship for a spectacular celebration of 7-a-side football.
