Livehd7 Sports Piracy Network Shut Down By ACE, But Not For the First Time
The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) has once again dismantled the Livehd7 sports piracy network, a platform notorious for streaming live matches from major football leagues such as the Premier League, LaLiga, and Serie A. Despite a previous shutdown in September 2023, where the operator was arrested in collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Justice, Livehd7 managed to resurface, continuing its operations. The network, comprising at least 85 associated domains, attracted approximately 17 million monthly visits, totaling over a quarter billion in the past year. This resurgence underscores the persistent challenges in combating online piracy, as operators often employ tactics like creating new domains to evade enforcement measures. ACE’s ongoing efforts highlight the complexities involved in permanently dismantling such networks and the necessity for continuous vigilance and collaboration with international authorities to protect intellectual property rights.
