Major blow against piracy - Key server located in Greece
In a significant operation against digital piracy, Greek authorities have dismantled a major server infrastructure based in Greece that served as a central hub for distributing pirated content to networks in Ukraine, Morocco, Pakistan, France, the Netherlands, and Germany.

• Scope: The servers distributed hundreds of thousands of movies, series, and sports events, causing substantial financial losses to both domestic and international subscription TV providers.
• International Reach: The Greek-based infrastructure acted as a “wholesale hub,” supplying pirated content to networks across multiple countries, including Ukraine, Morocco, Pakistan, France, the Netherlands, and Germany.
• Immediate Impact: Following the shutdown, numerous pirate networks that relied on this hub experienced service disruptions, leading to black screens for end-users.
• Seized Items: Authorities confiscated €11,000 in cash, 119 IPTV receivers, 27 hard drives, six computers, USB storage devices, routers, switches, and mobile phones.
• Arrest: A 48-year-old individual, identified as the mastermind behind the operation, was arrested.
