Nigerian tennis players banned for match-fixing scandal
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has sanctioned three Nigerian tennis players—Henry Atseye, Sylvester Emmanuel, and Christian Paul—for multiple breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) between 2017 and 2018. These violations are linked to a Belgian match-fixing syndicate led by Grigor Sargsyan, who received a five-year prison sentence in 2023.
