Thandel Film Illegally Screened on APSRTC Bus, Producer Reacts
The recently released film Thandel has garnered positive audience feedback but is now facing piracy issues. Producer Bunny Vas expressed concern over unauthorized screenings, notably an incident where the movie was illegally shown on an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus. He publicly urged APSRTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao to take immediate action, emphasizing that such violations disrespect the extensive efforts of the film’s creators. Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, premiered on February 7. Despite its theatrical release, pirated versions quickly appeared online and were reportedly broadcast on a local television channel. Bunny Vas highlighted the legal repercussions of piracy, referencing past actions against individuals involved in unauthorized distribution of his previous film, Geetha Govindam. He warned that those responsible for pirating or distributing Thandel would face similar legal consequences.
