Hacker voices38 successfully cracked the Denuvo security in 007 First Light

According to reports, hacker voices38 successfully cracked the Denuvo anti tamper protection used in 007 First Light, IO Interactive’s James Bond game, roughly 13 days after its release. The achievement went beyond earlier hypervisor based bypass methods by reportedly removing the game’s license verification requirements entirely, allowing the game to run without the complex virtualization tools previously needed. The development has renewed debate over the effectiveness of Denuvo, as critics argue that expensive DRM protections are increasingly being defeated shortly after launch. Supporters of DRM maintain that even a short protection window can help preserve early sales during a game’s most important commercial period. IO Interactive had not announced any plans to remove Denuvo from the game at the time of reporting.
